Indian Prithvi ballistic missile
An Indian Prithvi short range ballistic missile (SRBM) on display, mounted on its Tata transporter erector launcher. The original liquid fueled Prithvi had a 150 km range for a 1,000 kg payload. The missile in this picture looks like a Prithvi II, which has a 350 km range but with a 500 kg payload. This development version still has the markings of India’s Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).

Fully loaded USAF McDonnell Douglas/Boeing F-15E from the 492nd Expeditionary Fighter Squadron goes through in flight refueling (IFR) from a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker of the 190th Expeditionary Air Refueling Squadron – the Kansas Coyotes. The units are part of Operation Northern Watch, based at Incirlik Air Base, Turkey, enforcing the Northern no-fly zone. Russian Naval Mig-29K Fulcrum
Mikoyan’s naval version of the Mig-29 Fulcrum (K) being tested on a Russian/Soviet aircraft carrier. The Mig-29K was developed for the Soviet Navy’s Admiral Kuznetsov class aircraft carriers but was never pursued as the Cold War ended. In more recent times, it was revived for the Indian Navy’s aircraft carrier, INS Vikramaditya.
Fuel Air Explosive (FAE) bomb explodes
An animation/video of a Fuel Air Explosive (FAE) or thermobaric bomb being dropped and detonating to destroy a structure. FAEs use an explosive material that is comprised almost exclusively of a fuel which when detonated, uses all the available oxygen in the blast zone and creates a destructive blast wave as it sucks all the oxygen out of the impact zone.
CP-140 Aurora LRMPA
Lockheed Martin CP-140 Aurora long range maritime patrol aircraft (LRMPA) operated by the Canadian Air Force. It is based on Lockheed’s P-3 Orion and includes an extra electronics suite for the Canadian military. The CP-140 is used to patrol the country’s vast maritime frontiers.
Iraqi FROG missiles
A pair of truck mounted Iraqi FROG missiles targeted and destroyed by US forces. The FROG was a short range, solid fueled artillery missile (designation 2K6 Luna) developed by the Soviet Union.
German PzH 2000 155 mm self propelled gun
This German Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) is an armoured self-propelled gun manufactured by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW). The platform uses a Leopard 2 tank chassis, features a 155 mm 52 caliber main gun manufactured by Rheinmetall and is capable of firing certain specialized rounds a distance of over 50 km.
